Christmas is just around the corner, and as a special gift to my readers, I’m doing a Christmas giveaway for both of my books!
Dec. 23-24: The Four Stars
Dec. 24-25: Prism World
Feel free to spread the word, too! Happy reading!
So, this past Thursday I received the official list of winners from my Goodreads giveaway of The Four Stars. Thank you to everyone who entered, and congratulations to Mike O’Neil, Madalin Kocian, Jennifer Marie, and Shannan Lucckesi for winning the giveaway! I plan on having your signed copies of The Four Stars in the mail by Monday afternoon.
For those of you who didn’t get the chance to enter the giveaway, or for those of you who entered and didn’t win, here’s another opportunity for you to get your hands on a copy of one (or both) of my books (and leave reviews, of course, right? >.<)
In the spirit of the holidays, I will be offering free digital giveaways for both Prism World and The Four Stars. The dates will be as follows:
Prism World: Nov. 23 – 24
The Four Stars: Dec. 20-21
This is a great time to get some free gifts for all of your reading friends out there. Here’s to hoping you all have a wonderful holiday season. Happy reading!

The Four Stars by Lyn Gilleland
Book 1 of The Star Trilogy
Print: $20.00 on Amazon.com
Digital: $3.99 for Amazon Kindle
“For years the four friends – Razi, Rayne, Eryn, and Gavin – have lived in relative peace in the little valley they call home, only vaguely aware of the goings-on of the world beyond their sheltered haven. There are whispers, though…rumors that the young friends are more than just mere orphans. When the Gauls, the age-old enemy of Livania, launch a surprise attack in the mountains, the four friends are unexpectedly called to warn their elvin allies, only to discover that nothing is as it appears to be. In a matter of days, Razi, Rayne, Eryn, and Gavin find themselves swept up in a whirlwind of change, haunted by the mysteries and legends of the past and driven toward an ancient power that has already lured many to their doom.”
Aaaaannnddd, I’m done! Welcome to the official release announcement for my “newest” book, The Four Stars. It’s been a long time in coming, but it’s finally done. Please welcome the crazy, quirky group of young heroes – Razi, Rayne, Eryn, and Gavin – and all of their cohorts as they embark on an adventure of mystery, magic, danger, and self-discovery. I hope that they entertain all of their readers as much as they have entertained their author.
Keep an eye out for announcements for a Goodreads giveaway in October or November. I’ve already got 5 giveaway copies in the works.
As for my next project, I haven’t officially decided on that one yet. NaNoWriMo is waiting just around the corner, though, so be prepared for a deluge of ideas as I gear up for my next adventure. And in the meantime, happy reading!
After an unexpected delay, Prism World is now up for sale! I’ll have to write more about my self-publishing experience later, as I am currently swamped with everything from work at the library to Biblical Hebrew vocabulary. In the mean time, check out my book!
It may be a week or two before the title itself shows up in searches, but if you’re interested in ordering a copy, either print or the Kindle edition, you can find the links and prices below. Also, I have signed the book up for a program that should allow anyone who buys the print copy to get a free Kindle version. Being entirely new to the CreateSpace system, however, I don’t know exactly how that works, so feedback on your shopping experience is always welcome. Thank you, and I hope you have a great day!
Print: $15.00 list price, may find better prices with Amazon deals
I know it probably seems like I’ve dropped off the face of the earth for the past few weeks, but just because there’s been nothing going on here on Gilleland Creations doesn’t mean nothing’s been going on with me.
Meet Lightning, the protagonist and narrative voice of my most recent book, Prism World. Over the past few weeks…months…I don’t remember how long it’s been now…I’ve been working with a professional artist to get cover art for Prism World. What you see above is the result, minus the title, author, and back cover copy, of course. The whole project is moving along quite nicely. I’ve finished the revisions and have moved on to editing. It won’t be long before the whole thing comes together.
My goal is to have it finished and up for sale by September 1st, so keep an eye out for updates and for the official release announcement!
